This information will help you decide what to wear, which location to select for your style, and how to prep for photo day.

Location & Setting
LOCATION IS YOUR CHOICE
Do you have a location in mind? If not, let us give you some ideas! Choose from these location sites and we will in turn give you the meeting location point for the day of the session. If you have an area in mind that’s not listed, let us know! We can also use your own home or property as well.
LOCATION SETS THE MOOD
All of the locations we shoot in offer a mix of styles, but obviously some have a very dominant feature. For example, all areas have greenery and nature nearby, but when choosing one of the city areas (downtown or oldtown), building structures and textures come into play. If you like an urban look, and Your local to these areas, downtown, Gulfport, New Orleans, Jackson, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles is perfect. If you are into fishing or nature, one of the outer city areas is best (such as New Orleans City Park.) Our studio location is the perfect blend of both with textures and structures set near a pond and nature reserve area that includes modern indoor looks too, (Done Outside due to COVID).
WEATHER FOR OUTDOOR PORTRAITS
The weather does play a factor in our location/outdoor sessions. If it rains, we simply reschedule using our priority scheduling. Don’t worry about clouds though, we love a cloudy day for lighting, and sometime can give us more dramatic images. We check the weather app daily, so we will be in touch if we believe it’s in your best interest to reschedule. If you have any questions or are concerned ahead of time, simply call us.
INTERESTING AREAS
Fishbone Alley in Gulfport all have a great mix of textures, colors, fences, buildings and walls, + greenery, stairs & alleys, trees, and lots of charm and character.
DOWNTOWN NEW ORLEANS
Park-like areas, lots of alleys, rooftop cityscape, stairways and steps, urban + metro feel.
YOUR HOME/PROPERTY
We can create unique, one-of-a-kind images using your property.
LOCAL AREAS OF INTEREST IDEAS
Modern looks with a mix and variety of outdoor looks with gorgeous pond setting, nature reserve, open field nearby, treeline we call “the forest”, garden area, quarry rock textures, outdoor cafe.
PACKING & pREP
PACKING & PREP
The easiest way to carry your clothes and extras is in a “rolling suitcase” like you would use as a “carry-on” on a plane, or a duffle bag that rolls (or is easy to carry). We’ll be walking so be sure it’s easy to manage. If you have shirts that will wrinkle, please make sure you have them on hangers. Once on location, we won’t be returning to the car in between changes so make sure that what you bring can be carried by you, mom or a friend easily.
CHANGING ON-LOCATION
The locations for changing are intermittent and we work with the restrooms in the area we are at as well as a portable changing tent. Please be prepared that while shooting in downtown and on-location areas, we may not have access to a super clean changing area. Just be prepared to do quick changes and know that in the end, your portraits will be amazing if you can work with what we will have to work with the day of your shoot.

YOUR LOOK
What You wear should be a true reflection of your authentic style. This is the time to put outfits together that combine the different things You love to wear and that also make You feel amazing when you’re wearing them.
Pulling it all together can be challenging though! You know what You like and what you don’t like, but maybe you’re just not sure how to create the looks that You know You want to be photographed in.
